I am very excited about the movie
Lincoln, which is opening nationwide this weekend. It is based on Doris Kearns Goodwin's book, "Team of Rivals", which I have read and is an excellent book. I very rarely see movies in the teater anymore, so it takes a lot to get me excited to go. And I cannot wait to see this. The movie is particularly welcome in my mind following that idiotic Lincoln chases vampires movie that was out a while back. No, I didn't see that movie; yet I am completely comfortable calling it idiotic. Afterall, it got a mere 35% tomatometer rating, which I tend to trust. (See rottentomatoes.com if you are unfamiliar with the tomatometer). Incidentally,
Lincoln gets a 92%. This is going to be good.
Given that it's a movie at least in part based on a book, I will write a review of it after I see it. I'm hoping to go this weekend, but I'm not sure if I'll have time due to on prior commitments. But I do hope to see it as soon as possible.
Please see my survey regarding this movie and let me know if you are planning to see it! Happy moviegoing!
